Communications Assistant
We are seeking a passionate individual to join our fun, friendly team with a love for the environment. This is an excellent opportunity to get a foot in the door in the world of communications, marketing and social media. No experience is necessary but basic online and device skills are desirable. The role is for 10 hours a week with a degree of flexibility.
Responsibilities:
Helping to manage comments and engagement on Plastic Free North Devon social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram)
Curating content
Scheduling social media posts in Meta, Later.com and Twitter
Creating and managing Facebook events
Basic Canva design amends
Tagging pre-scheduled posts
Researching and updating tags and hashtags
Monitoring Meta inbox, Twitter and Stories content 1 weekend per month (Max one hour per day)
Attributes & Experience:
Essential:
Good command of the English language
Excellent spelling and grammar
Experience using Facebook & Instagram
A degree of flexibility in working schedule
Willing to volunteer occasionally (may be at weekends)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Team player
Desirable experience in using:
Twitter and Linked In
Google Suite
Canva or other design software
Squarespace or other CMS
Meta scheduling and inbox management
Mailchimp or other email marketing software
Awareness of GDPR
